Christmas is just around the corner; and our cities don’t fall short on Christmas attractions and displays that capture the essence of the holidays. From the little kiddos to our septuagenarian loved ones, these holiday displays equate to a little family bonding and simple joys that create lasting, happy memories.

Araneta City Christmas Animated Display
Where: Quezon City
Duration: until January 5, 2020
Time: Sundays – Thursdays 6pm-10pm, Fridays – Saturdays 6pm-11pm

Now on its second year since it returned in Araneta in 2018 and now known as “Christmas Animated Display”, this popular animated holiday attraction features different beloved Yuletide characters like The Little Drummer Boy, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and the Nativity.

Aside from the beautiful Christmas Animated Display, check out Araneta’s Times Square Food Park for other fun-filled activities, fun rides and diverse dining options.

Ayala Triangle Gardens Gallery of Lights
Where: Makati City
Duration: until January 12,2020
Time: 6pm-10pm everyday

Ayala Triangle Garden’s Gallery of Lights is an annual event that attracts thousands of spectators from all walks of life. This year’s visual extravaganza is dubbed “Carol of Lights”.

Opened on November 12, aside from the mesmerizing lights and sound spectacle, a 3D mapped show (projected on the dome of Tower One and Exchange Plaza featuring the majestic ceilings and stained glass windows of local and international churches) is a captivating sight. With smoke effects and noodle lights beautifully hanging on tree trunks, watching Carol of Lights is truly an Christmas must-do.

MOA Grand Festival of Lights Parade
Where: Pasay City
Duration: December 7, 14, 21 and 25, 2019
Time: 5:30pm

Come December 7, the Mall of Asia Arena (North and South Arcades) will surely pack a crowd of revelers as its annual Grand Festival of Lights Parade officially opens. Wonderfully-designed floats and more than a hundred Christmas characters will be part of this joyful parade, which is now on its 11th year.

Apart from the parade, there are other festive activities line up for the kids and kids-at-heart – Santa Meet and Greet, Christmas photo booth and an impressive fireworks display.

Tiendesita’s Gift of Wonders
Where: Pasig City
Duration: until January 5,2020
Time: 6pm-10pm

Visitors will surely enjoy Tiendesita’s Gift of Wonders, an interactive installations with enthralling interactive visuals located at the Food and Pet Village.

Open to the public for free, Gift of Wonders has two Instagrammable installations – “House of Stars” that features thousands of mini light bulbs that change color and “Pets Unleashed”, an animated installation decorated with cute animal plush toys against a kaleidoscope colors as backdrop.
Your photos inside these installations, without a doubt, will be as splendid as Christmas itself!

Filinvest City’s Light Up the Wonder
Where:  Muntinlupa City
Duration: until December 31, 2019
Time: 6pm

Filinvest City’s newest attraction, the Water Garden at Festival Mall, is transformed into a lovely Christmas paradise complete with an imposing 42-foot tall Christmas tree and life-sized Christmas decors, set in a magical Christmas village.

A slew of fun activities is in order: weekend performances of some of the country’s best performers, photo-op with Santa Claus and fireworks display to light up the jolly night.

BGC Christmas Fairytale
Where: Bonifacio Global City
Duration: until January 5, 2020
Time: 6pm-10pm

A dazzling 55-foot tall Christmas tree, unveiled last November 20, makes the perfect backdrop for your photos when visiting BGC. The towering attraction is located on 7th Avenue in Bonifacio High Street.

An annual event, this year’s theme is about a Christmas fairytale, which in the words of the Head of BGC’s Commercial Operations, “a magical Christmas that will bring out the kid who once believe in limitless possibilities and happily-ever-afters.”

Other exciting activities in BGC includes city fiesta, free concerts, Simbang Gabi, Santa Meet and Greet, fireworks display on all Fridays of December and New Year’s Countdown on December 31st.

Greenhills’ Laser Light Symphony
Where: San Juan City
Duration: until January 5, 2020
Time: 6pm-10pm

The first Greenhills Laser Light Symphony started last November 15 and will run until January 5, 2020 at the G-Strip Parking Area. The first of its kind entertainment in the country, the laser show, in cooperation with a telecom company, is free to the public.

The fascinating show features two savy laser dancers moving along the tunes of electronic remixes of favourite Christmas jingles in a sea of light. There is also a Christmas Night Market for everyone to take part in, as well as other exciting and fun holiday activities.
